Robert Martin McCoy

Robert “Bob” Martin McCoy, 83, of Annapolis, Maryland passed away February 12, 2026, surrounded by family. Bob is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jean Kay McCoy; his daughters Karen (Nathan) Giles, Janet McCoy, Donna (Tony) Montanez, Beth Zotter and his grandchildren Luke, Rebecca, Drew, Sarah, Megan and Remy. He is predeceased by sister, Catherine McCoy.

Bob was born and raised in Washington DC. He graduated from high school at Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro, Virginia. After high school, Bob joined United States Coast Guard. Following his military service, he began a career spanning more than 30 years with C&P Telephone, which later became Verizon. In 2007, Bob followed his true calling and became a Deacon with the Episcopal Church. After being ordained, Bob was assigned to St. James Parish in Lothian, Maryland and ministered at area nursing homes and retirement communities offering comfort and companionship to many.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation from 10:00-11:00 on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1101 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis, MD 21403. His funeral service will immediately follow at 11am. Interment will be private.
