Ruth was born December 30, 1927, in Cambridge to George and Elsie Willey. She was married for 54 years to Orville Parks, Jr. (deceased) of Cambridge.
Ruth would be known for her charming personality and being a classy lady. After raising her family, she pursued a career late in life in Real Estate and became very successful selling large acreage and farms in Southern Maryland. There was no stopping her from buying and selling her own real estate in her late 70's.
After retiring, she loved winters at her second home in Singer Island Florida and summers in Annapolis. Being near the water was a definite priority. She always enjoyed fishing and boating on the Chesapeake Bay with her husband on their boat. The love of family always came first. She loved to travel and enjoyed any gatherings with family. Her passion was arts and crafts, decorating, music, dancing, a good party, and sailing on the Skipjack Rosie Parks.
Mrs. Parks is survived by her three daughters and spouses, Sharon & Rob Weber, Janis and Jay Beach, and Bonnie and Dick Ruest. Six grandchildren Kelly Ena, Lindsay Jeunette, Ginger Carter, Zak Beach, Justin Ruest, Kimberly Ruest (deceased). Five great grandchildren Karson Ena, Jordyn Ena, Cullen Jeunette, Aiden Ruest, and Joy Beach. Also survived by sister Patsy Fallon of Florida.
A private service for immediate family only will be planned by Taylor Funeral Home of Annapolis. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date when we can be together.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in memory of Ruth Parks. (213 N Talbot St, St Michaels, MD 21663). Website for donations. https://cbmm.org/support/donate/
