

Thomas Keeshon Malone of Ranch Mirage, California passed away at age 56 years in Annapolis, Maryland after a several week-long hospitalization. He was a beloved son of Joseph L. Malone, Jr of Bethesda, Maryland and the Late Maureen McGreevy Malone (dec) and the 7th of 8 siblings including Joseph L. Malone, III of Bethesda, Maryland; Margaret (Peggy) Malone of Chicago, Illinois, Maureen Kelly, of Chicago, Illinois, Patricia Aalbregtse of Foster City, California; Kathleen Leone, of Norwood, Massachusetts; Mary Johnson, of Norwood, Massachusetts; and John D. Malone of Silver Spring, Maryland. Tom was a supportive brother in law to Lee Malone, Geri Brennan, and Joseph Johnson and an inspiring and adventurous Uncle to his many nieces and nephews: Joseph L. Malone, IV, Andrew O. Malone, M. Alice Malone, Eileen Kelly McDonald, Finn McDonald, Moira Kelly, Shannan Aalbregtse, Naomi Aalbregtse, Mary Claire Leone, Kelly Anne Leone, Thomas Leone, Sarah Johnson, Amy Johnson Odena, Christopher Johnson, Margaret (Meg) Johnson, Reilly Malone, and Erin Malone.
In addition to his large family, Tom had countless friends and work colleagues that span the globe who loved him for his big heart, his playful sense of humor, and his ability to bring people together. He was a world traveler and lover of nature, architecture and the arts with a long list of places he wanted to discover. He was a giving and generous man who cared deeply about people, community and many causes, especially Misericordia in Chicago. Tom worked in various engineering capacities most recently at SeaMed, PhysioControl, Calypso and Varian Medical Systems. His career focused on helping companies develop and manufacture life-saving medical devices.
A Funeral Mass is planned for 11 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021 at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church at 9601 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD, 20814. Additionally, a virtual Celebration of Life zoom meeting is planned - details to be provided when available. The John M Taylor Funeral Home of Annapolis, MD is handling Tom's arrangements . In lieu of flowers, Tom asked for donations to Misericordia, Chicago, IL (www.misericordia.com) in Thomas Malone’s name (family #3480). Misericordia provides a continuum of care with home and work opportunities for over 600 residents with developmental disabilities, including his sister, Peggy.
