Tom. I miss you every day.  You would love to see how your family has grown and developed.  You would love to hear of the many adventures i and others have taken inspired by your spirit.   I love you so much.

Tom was one of the most loving and caring human beings I have ever known. He was very generous and used to make charity donations to fund education for less fortunate people. I always admired his intelligence because he was able to remodel his house on his own and worked very diligently at his jobs to do his best. I also recall when we were in downtown Seattle, and he called the police to let them know about a fight between homeless people; that was Tom always caring for the community. He was a very kind man with a warm personality and always wanting the best for the people he loved. My heart goes out to his family because he was a great guy and may he rest in peace. 

Uncle Tom was a wonderful man. A specific memory I have of him was  a time he had taken me and I believe a few of my other cousins as well to downtown Chicago. I don’t recall the specifics of being downtown or what we saw but I remember after stopping for lunch and having several boxes of leftovers we had come across a homeless man near an intersection we were crossing. He told us that maybe we should offer to give him our boxes of food. When we passed the man, Uncle Tom explained that we had plenty of food and would like for him to have it. The man declined. Shortly after passing him we stopped and Uncle Tom said we should go back and leave the food here for him just in case he changes his mind. That moment, even though small, was something that has always stuck with me. I think this showed just how much he cared about people. He saw people, accepted them and he always made sure that those he was with smiled and laughed. He is very much loved and greatly missed.

Thinking about you today, Tom.  I wish you could have made it to this birthday.  In the back of my mind you’ll always be that kid who was my younger brother’s best friend.  You grew into a wonderful, thoughtful, kind man.  One of the sweetest, gentlest people I’ve ever know, taken way too soon.

I met Tom when we both worked at Physio-Control.  He became an instant friend.  He was kind, thoughtful, adventurious and a very generous person.

I remember all the fun adventures we had, such as going to the Cinemark with a few friends, drinking cocktails and watching second run movies.  We used to have outdoor dinners at the Virginia Inn and he would "cat call" someone under his breath who he thought was cute.  Tom enjoyed the arts as did I, and when I lived in Portland, he came down for my 50th birthday weekend festivities.

Although we moved on, we never lost touch on Facebook.  

Tom, you will be missed, but I have my memories to hold on to.

Our hearts are saddened to learn of your brother's passing.  Although we did not know him, we do know how special he is to you!  Hold tight to your memories and each other during this difficult time, and know that so many others are here to support you. To all Malones, I am sorry for your loss. I hadn't seen Tom in years though had seen his mother and sister.  I have memories walking to Sears with Tom and passing through the Malone home due to overlapping siblings. Great family! What a lovely tribute. 


Tom was not only my brother, but a great friend.   He was a great listener and had such a great spin on most things.   Tom was also quite generous.   I spent the first part of our lives as his older sister.   When I got to a certain age, he generously agreed to become my older brother---he stated the age looked better on him!   I am so heartwarmed by the messages his colleagues have left.  It is a bit strange, as close as we were, he rarely discussed his work, but frequently discussed his co workers!  I can see what a great colleague he was through your generous shares here.   I hope his spirit will live on in all of you and in our family.   He was brilliant, curious, humble loyal wonderful human being.   The world was shook when he left.   xxxooo  Kathleen


I had the pleasure of working for Tom for a short period of time in the validation department. Tom truly was a giver and I still have a few items he gifted me. See, I love pigs and everyone knows it. Tom bought me a bag and a wallet that I still use to this day just because he thought I would love the pig design. He never expected anything in return for his kindness. He will be missed, but I know he is now with his mother. I remember asking him about this beautiful scarf he wore one day and he told me it was his late mother's and he wore it because it reminded him of her and made him feel closer to her.  My heart goes out  to his family, my condolences for your loss. May Tom rest in peace and always be remembered for all the positive things. He will be greatly missed. 

Tom was a dear work colleague of mine at Varian, and we worked together on a project in Seattle.  He was such a great guy and we had many laughs overcoming the challenges that we faced. He will be so sorely missed by all that knew him. 
Rest in Peace Tom, the world is a sadder place without you.

Tom was a great friend.  We worked together at Calypso in Seattle for about 6 years.  We got together frequently with friends and coworkers after work at the Warwick hotel bar across the street from work.  We had a lot of fun for certain.

I am feel awful that I did not get to say goodbye and to tell him I loved him like a brother. I will miss Tom tremendously.

Tom made surviving high school easy. Two years ahead of me in school and a Senior, he didn't seem to think twice about extending the hand of friendship to help me and probably other then Sophomores like me who were part of the first group to experience the new "2 buildings-1 high school" arrangement get acclimated. He didn't have to. He could have ignored me. But he didn't and we became friends that year. I didn't have the honor of seeing him after he graduated, but I never forgot him and have always tried to pay forward his kindness. Thank you, Tom, for your generosity, your humor, and for setting an example on how to make even a small corner of the universe a better place. May you be at peace.  

Missing you right now, been missing you for a while... we first met back in highschool but didn't really bond till years later when we had dinner together with your niece at Gino's Pizza that one time, and then not long after when I sat with you and your family after your mom died. I had all these dreams of us traveling together in our old age as we had when you came to stay with me up in Canada ...  dreams that now can never come true. We had so much fun and seemed to be drawn to similar things.  And you didn't snore!!! (grin) You were the best of traveling companions. You are missed

Tears flowing about your rich life right now, Tom.  You were my first friend at Joseph Sears, always kind and caring, and remembering riding our bicycles all over Kenilworth.

I have too many to pick one. I hardly have a high school memory without him in it. Before the internet there were dozens of phone calls and letters. The internet made it easier. As l said on your page l have loved you since the day l met you in 1979, and your family welcomed me as one of your own. My life would not have been the same without you, nor will it be now. I am blessed with over 42 years of memories. I have always cherished them and will continue to do so until we meet again. Your kindness, compassion and zest for life was unparalleled my friend.
