Bill was born April 30, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York to Nicholas and Helen Clampet, predeceased by his sister Anna Marie “Cissie” Fleming. He attended Roslyn High School, Roslyn, New York.
Bill was a great man who everyone loved. He was a devoted husband and caregiver to his wife Dorothy. He loved a good joke, the water, bowling, and traveling, especially cruises, and a member of the American Legion Post in Glen Head, New York.
He worked 40 years for the Long Island Lighting Company (LILCO) in Hicksville, New York. He and Dorothy lived in Glen Head, New York for over 55 years before relocating to Annapolis.
Bill is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy; sons Mark (Betty), Keith (Marie), and daughter Karen Neider; four grandsons, and two great grandsons.
