Ashville – Service for Ray Thomas, 78 of Ashville will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Heathcock officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Thomas passed away Sunday.
Survived by his daughters, Tina Brown and Kristina McSpadden; son, Donnie Thomas; step-children, Sonja (Sammy), Kittie, Kim, Wanda (Scott), Kathy (Phillip), Karen (David), Bill and Warren Bowlin; several grandchildren; brothers, sisters and nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers; Trevor McSpadden, Jacob Heathcock, Rick A. Jones, Scott Armstrong, Rick Jones, Rockey McSpadden. Honorary pallbearers; Jeremiah Heathcock & Trent McSpadden.
Ray had a passion for bluegrass music and playing his 1968 Martin guitar. He was very loved and will be greatly missed.
