

Funeral service for Bertie Jean Bittle, 79, of Saks, will be 1:00 pm, Monday, October 3, 2011, at Gray Brown-Service with Pastor Travis Bittle officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from at 5-7 pm. Mrs. Bittle went home to be with Jesus Saturday morning at her residence.
Survivors include husband, Charles G. Bittle of Anniston; daughter, Patsy J. Cotton and husband James of Anniston; sons, Charles Ray Bittle and wife Rhonda of Jacksonville, Rev. Travis E. Bittle and wife Diane of Tallassee, Perry Glenn Bittle and wife Greta of Anniston; Grandchildren, Todd Bittle and wife Kim of Trussville, Keitha Cotton of Anniston, Chad Cotton and wife Kendal of Oxford, Kristie B. Ness and husband Drew of Tallassee, Drew Bittle of Anniston, Brooke Goodwin and husband Jordan of Alexandria; great grandchildren, Caleb Ray, Colton Ray, Amberlee Cotton, Hunter Cotton, Austin Bittle, Zackary Bittle, Gavin Bittle, Jaylen Cotton, and Haleigh Goodwin; sister, Edna Haynes; brother, Douglas Harbin and wife Geraldine.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. Honorary Pallbearer will be Brian “Mr. B” Harbin.
Mrs. Bittle was a resident of Calhoun County. She attended Ohatchee School and has as a grandmother she acquired her GED. She was also a member of Oxford Assembly of God. Mrs. Bittle was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a devout Christian.
