Betty Mae Hollingsworth Shaddix

Funeral service for Betty Mae Hollingsworth Shaddix, 84 of Eulaton, will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Shaddix entered the gates of Heaven Saturday, March 14, 2015.

Survivors include her daughters, Vicki Barnett (Gary), Lisa Bedford (David), Kim Hester (Mike); sons, Gregg Shaddix, Jeff Shaddix (Tammie) and Scott Shaddix; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Frances Palestro; brothers, Charles Hollingsworth (Phyllis) and Dr. Ken Hollingsworth (Carolyn); several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Sonny Israel, William Hill and Joyce New.

Mrs. Shaddix is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Shaddix; grandson, Corey Pressley; parents, Radford and Mae Hollingsworth; sister, Namoi Poss; and brother, Roy Hollingsworth.

Pallbearers will be Justin Eagle, Taylor Shaddix, Cade Shaddix, Eric Prichard, Jake Pollard, James Cottrill and Staff Sgt. Jason Dodd.

Mrs. Shaddix was an active member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother and “Nana” to her grandchildren and countless children she baby sat over the years and will be greatly missed.
