Betty Stamps Truitt received her ultimate healing from the Lord on June 14, 2022, at 88 years old. A visitation will be held on June 16 at 1:00, and the funeral will be at 2:00 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Anniston. Dean Lott will be officiating. A private burial will take place at Edgemont Cemetery immediately after.
Ms. Betty attended Saks High School and lived in Anniston her entire life. She worked at Hamilton Band Instruments and Walmart in Anniston for several years. After retiring, she became a volunteer “Pink Lady” at Regional Medical Center. She was a faithful member of Westwood Baptist Church. Ms. Betty’s love language was cooking for those whom she loved. She also enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family as well as her church family.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Stamps Key (Gary), of Alexandria; two grandchildren, Christina Thomas Lott (Dean) of Oxford and John Thomas of Alexandria, and three great-grandchildren, Erin Lott, Emily Lott, and Gavin Lott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Earm Guthrie; her husbands, Curtis K. Stamps and Gene Truitt, and a son, Wayne Stamps. She is also preceded in death by her beloved siblings, Bill Guthrie, Catherine Griffith, Margaret O’Dell, and Clinton Guthrie.
Pallbearers are Gary Key, John Thomas, Gavin Lott, Scott O’Dell, Robert Scheitlin and Lance Martin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the World Changers ministry through Westwood Baptist Church.
