

Funeral service for Mrs. Betty Kidd Williamson, 77 of Anniston will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Gray Brown Service Chapel with Rev. Tyson Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until service time. Mrs. Williamson passed away Saturday in Georgia.
Survivors include Spouse: John B. Williamson, Daughters: Freda England, Deborah Green, Maria Cumbow ( Sam Cumbow), Son: Ted William Densmore (Barbara Densmore)
Grandchildren: Amber England Shumate (Christopher Shumate), David Densmore, Will Densmore, Jonathan Sudduth, Aaron Cumbow (Jessica Cumbow); Great Grandchildren, Charlie Shumate, Mason Sudduth, Justin Sudduth, Sarah Sudduth and Isaac Cumbow;
Sisters: Bernice Baker and Vilene Garrison.
Brothers: Wamoth Kidd and Clovis Kidd (Francis Kidd)
Preceded In Death: Parents Thomas and Lela Kidd, Sisters Peggy Nelson and Tommie Rose.
Pallbearers: David Densmore, Will Densmore, Chris Shumate, Pete Garrison, Jonathan Sudduth, and Terry Rose.
Background: Betty was a proud Alabama native and a resident of Anniston for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Betty was well travelled, having lived in Germany, Japan and Thailand in addition to many cruises to areas of the Carribean. She retired from Civil Service at Fort McClellan where she enjoyed a reputation of being the “go to” person with administrative or personnel problems. She was a member of The Eastern Star and other Masonic related organizations, and served as president in many of them. She was of the Baptist faith.
