Brian Randal Pugh
25 abril , 1958 – 2 noviembre , 2020
Alexandria – Brian Randal “Randy” Pugh, age 62, of Alexandria, AL, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 9, 2020, at 2 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Saks. The family will receive friends for visitation at Chapel Hill prior to the funeral, from 12-2 pm. Randy was born in Anniston and lived in the area most of his life. He was a graduate of Anniston High School and Jacksonville State University. He is survived by his children, Amber (Shane) Bowers, Rachel (Zach) Davis, Dylan (Whitley) Pugh, and Sarah Pugh; his grandchildren, Caleb Bowers, Jacob Bowers, Everett Davis, and Suri Pugh; his brother, David (Mary Anne) Pugh, his sister, Lynne (George) Williams, and several nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Betty Pugh, his younger brother, Tommy Pugh, and his baby sister, Sherrie Pugh. He will be laid to rest in Edgemont Cemetery with his parents and siblings. Pallbearers will be Caleb and Jacob Bowers, Noah and Kadin Gardner, and Joey and Logan Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be George Williams, Shane Bowers, and Zach and Everett Davis. Randy, also known as Stank, Pappy, Daddio, Papa Smurf, and the Baddest Dad You Ever Had, was a loving father and the ultimate cool guy – a storyteller extraordinaire. He was smart, funny, and always up for a dare. He loved playing golf and darts with his son, singing karaoke, and watching Alabama football (Roll Tide!). He recently retired from the Anniston Army Depot after 30 years working in IT. Randy will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his friends and family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society. Due to the state mandate, it is required that funeral home guests wear masks and socially distance to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

A heartbreaking loss for the family, friends, and everyone who knew him. He was my refuge during a very difficult time in my life. He always kept on an even keel on that long and winding road of all the good and the bad we have to travel through in this life, and he never lost his sense of humor. But now he's with Mom and Dad and Tommy, and gets to meet Sherrie, in that home where no storm clouds rise. I'm heartbroken but encouraged at the same time that in the sweet by and by we shall meet on that beautiful shore. And we'll all be together much longer than we've been apart. He was always a competitor. He ran a good race, and a very courageous one at the end. And now he has his prize. He has his crown.

My dear brother, I will keep sweet memories of you forever in my heart. You were so courageous the last few months and I was so proud of your positive attitude and determination . My comfort comes from knowing that we will reunite one day and my love for you will just keep growing and will never fade away. I will miss you little brother. Till we meet again. Love, Sister.
