Dear Ms Kitty, you were the most interesting lady I have ever known. Heart of gold filled with laughter. You always had an ear to listen and sage advice to offer. You loved your family and neighbors. Enjoy paradise with Christ.

I loved Kitty from moment I met her big heart and never imagined she would leave so quickly. She taught me alot, she really cared about people in her life. She told me last time i saw her, to meet her by the river in heaven if something happened to her with a tear in her eye( and mine) not knowing it was really the last time i would see her here in this life. Kitty... I'll be looking for you at the River. Keep me a good fishing spot.

Circa 1979, When I was growing up in Irvine CA,  Kitty was our next door neighbor.  The best neighbor I have ever had.  Kitty and my mother became close friends.  While my mother worked a graveyard shift at a hospital she and my mom made arrangements for Kitty to take me out for my 14th birthday. 
We went to a fancy Hawaiian restaurant in Corona Del Mar.  She asked me what I wanted to drink and I said the Scorpion which was a rum drink in a large sea shell.  The staff at the restaurant were upset and so were we as we waited forever for our food.  We left to go eat somewhere else because we hadn't received our dinner.  The staff ran after us shouting "out of state plates".  We raced out of there in her 12 cylinder Jaguar listening to Boz Scaggs and Steely Dan nice and loud until Kitty wanted to sing! We raced down PCH and stopped only for a blueberry milkshake.  We raced again down Jamboree where a patrol officer caught up to us.  The officer told Kitty he stopped her because she hadn't paid her tab at the Hawaiian.  He told her to hand over her keys because he felt she was a flight risk.  She refused and when the officer reached in she hit him, stating "this is not your property and we didn't get served at the Hawaiian".  The officer said that is not what he heard and asked me if I was given any alcohol at the restaurant.  I said "absolutely not officer".  Kitty then simply smiled and said, "officer, we are on our way home and this is Tommy's 14th birthday.  Now let us go home safely please".  Kitty winked at the officer who let us proceed to KFC and home to Woodbridge where we ate in.....  Kitty brought life to every moment and I am eternally grateful she was part of my life growing up.  RIP my good friend and many thanks to you.

My husband Alex & I remember the trip down the Intracoastal in Ft. Lauderdale when Kitty was captain of the yacht & we discovered it was taking on water.  There were a whole bunch of friends on board & we all made it safely back to the dock.
Kitty also gave us our beautiful Samoyad dog Tasha.  She was with us for 16 years.  What a fun positive friend.
Now she is boating with the angels.
