

Carolyn Cordelia Bell Brouillette, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2026. Born on October 30, 1939, Carolyn lived a life defined by service, devotion, and deep love for her family and community.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Paul E. Brouillette, who was her best friend and soulmate. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Eula Mae Bell and Arthur Menco Bell; her sister, Sarah Helen Ingram; and her brother, Donnie Ray Bell.
She is survived by her loving children: Randy Brouillette, Artie (Kim) Brouillette, and Paula (Bruce) Lott. She also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Wilma Cox and Kenneth (Sylvia) Bell. Carolyn was a proud grandmother to Danni, Lauren, Dylan, Tricia, Josh, and Megan, and is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, cousins and many members of her cherished and chosen family.
Carolyn dedicated much of her life to service and community involvement. She was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts, serving as a devoted volunteer for 47 years, and was also an employee of both the Cottaquilla Council and the Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama. She also devoted her time as a longtime Boy Scout volunteer. Carolyn retired from BellSouth after 38 years of dedicated service and continued giving back as a volunteer van driver and coordinator for Disabled American Veterans (DAV). She was also a proud member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Carolyn lived by the Girl Scout Promise and Law throughout her life, showing kindness, honesty, service, and compassion to everyone she met. She truly believed in helping others and making the world a better place. She will be deeply missed by her Girl Scout sisters and all who were blessed to know her.
Carolyn also held a special place in her heart for Boy Scout Troop 6 Alexandria, who became like extended family to her. She welcomed them into her home, where many meals were shared, stories were told, and lasting memories were made. Her home was always a safe and loving place, and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a longtime, devoted member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
Carolyn will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to helping others, and the lasting impact she made on countless lives through her service and love.
The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to the entire staff of Amedisys Home Health and New Beacon Hospice. Their devotion of love and care to Carolyn was outstanding and we cannot thank them enough. You will always have a special place in our hearts.
Funeral Services for Carolyn will be held at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 1301 Golden Springs Rd, Anniston, Alabama 36207 on Friday April 10th at 12:00pm. Immediately following the funeral services, a graveside service will be held at Anniston Memorial Gardens 4000 US-431, Anniston, Alabama 36206. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, April 9th from 5:00-7:00 pm at the church. The pallbearers will be; Patrick Michaelis, Kevin Fields, Shannon Sullivan, Andy Bell, Shannon Bell and Brad Baird.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Building Fund, 1301 Golden Springs Road, Anniston, AL 36207, or to Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama (please specify Camp Cottaquilla), 7705 North Lake Drive, Trussville, AL 35173.
