A graveside funeral service for Carolyn Rae Crocker Roberts, 73, of Jacksonville will be Monday, October 18th at 2pm at Maple Grove Cemetery in Anniston, AL. Bishop Donnie Ford, of Jacksonville, will be officiating. The family will receive friends at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Anniston, AL from 12:30-1:30pm Monday before the services. Mrs. Roberts passed away on Wednesday, October 13th in her home in Jacksonville, AL.
Survivors include two daughters, Jenny Tola (Tony) of Jacksonville, AL and Jessica Nail (Robert) of Gadsden, AL; her brother Bud Crocker of Rigby, ID and her four grandchildren, Jaycob, Ryan, Jaxon, and Kaitlin.
Mrs. Roberts was retired and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She has resided in Calhoun County for the past 28 years. She graduated from Griffith High School in Griffith, IN in 1966. She attended BYU Idaho (formerly known as Ricks College) studying Homemaking & Design. She was a seamstress to hundreds, making anything from wedding dresses, prom dresses, suits, and more. She loved cross stitching and crafting, was an avid movie watcher, and loved gardening of any kind. She devoted her life to her family, including caring for her completely disabled son Jay for 31 years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome Roberts, her son Jay Roberts, her parents Hubert and Anne Crocker, and her sister Charlette Roberts.
