Dusty was a graduate of Saks High School Class of 1975, and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Ragland, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, and the Sunday School Superintendent. He was also a member of Calhoun County Civil Defense, and a member of CERT. In his younger years he loved to wrestle and play tennis.
He loved Jesus, and his family. He was a fanatic for BBQ, and was always blaring his southern gospel music throughout the house.
Dusty was well loved by everyone, and never met a stranger.
