Anniston – Funeral services for Mr. Charles Oscar Stephens, 75, of Anniston will be Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Harris officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30- until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Stephens passed on September 16, 2015 at his home with the love of his life and wife of 51 years. He passed in a place where he had more than 50 years of fond memories. He was kind, loving, compassionate, humble, faithful, hardworking, fun loving, reliable, and loyal. He devoted his life to his wife and two sons; and had a deep affection for his sisters.
Mr. Stephens is survived by his wife, Anita Gail Williams Stephens; sons, Jonathan Michael Stephens Sr., and Christopher Kevin Stephens; sisters, Evelyn Lee Stephens Wade, Janice Kay Stephens Bryan, and Gladys Patricia Stephens Tolbert; grandchildren, Kaley Anne Stephens, Jonathan Michael Stephens Jr., and Janiah Lashay Meck-Stephens; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Stephens was a native of Anniston. He attended Anniston High School and Auburn University.
