Funeral service for Cheryl Poland Morris, 61, of Alexandria will be Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Joshua Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Morris passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at her residence.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Richard Morris, two sons Christopher Morris and Patrick Morris, one brother Gary Poland (Debbie), three grandchildren Shelby Morris, Grayson Morris and Garrison Morris, two nieces Elyse Poland and Alicyn Poland.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Bobbie Poland, a sister Lindy Connell and a brother-in-law Charles Connell.
Cheryl was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a graduate of Anniston High School. She was employed at Anniston OBGYN in the late 70's and early 80's. She attended Hill Crest Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed reading, sewing, cross stitch, cooking and canning.
