ANNISTON – Funeral service for Mrs. Clara “Mama Faye” Self, age 87, of Anniston will be 11 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Israel officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Mrs. Self passed away December 13, 2011 at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Self is survived by her daughters, Anita (Dee) Duckett of Anniston, Phebe (Barry) Burch of Weaver; sons, Richard (Janice) Amos, Mike Self; sister, Freda Haynes of Fort St. Lucie FL.; 16 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Jesse Walker, Jason Walker, Bruce Stevens, Dee Duckett, Barry Burch, Butch Hawthorne and Jeff Lloyd
Mrs. Self was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a member of Eulation 1st Baptist Church.
Mrs. Self was preceded in death by her husband, Vernard Self and son David Amos.
