Clifford "Speedy" Smith

Memorial services for Clifford "Speedy" Smith, 59, of Anniston will be 6 pm Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Weaver Congregational Methodist Church, 916 Alexandria Rd, Weaver, AL 36277 with Pastor Keith Merritt officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after the service in the Fellowship Hall. Mr. Smith passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at his residence. Chapel Hill is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Lana Smith, daughters, Heather Gregory (Jeffrey Campbell) and Haley Davis (Shane), grandchildren, Jazmyne Gregory, Braylen Gregory, Cameron Gregory, Conner Davis and Corbin Davis, bonus grandchildren, Carson Campbell and Hartley Campbell, sisters, Jeanette Spivey (David), Clara Taylor (Truman), Thelma Smith and Alice Adair (Jeff), brothers, Steve Smith (Martha) and Mack Smith, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Corrine Smith, brothers, Bill Van Winkle, and Frank King, sisters, Francis Hunt and Lorraine Harris.

Mr. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a 1981 graduate of Weaver High School. He was a member of Weaver Congregational Methodist Church. Mr. Smith loved fishing, coaching his grandkids and loved his Alabama football.
