Donald Lloyd

Donald Lloyd went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2021. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Mt. View Baptist Church at 12:00 pm with Rev. Rick Foote, Rev. Roland Brown and Rev. Eric Snider officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. He was not only a loving husband of 64 years to Sadie, but he was her BEST Friend and loved her more than life itself. He loved his family, but more than all, he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a deacon at MT. View Baptist Church for over 50 years. He never met a stranger, he was always willing to share a good story with you and brighten your day.

He was a top-notch electrician by trade and worked at Federal Mogul for 30 years. Once retired, he went to work for Acker Electric for 10 years then retired again. He was always willing to help others throughout the community whether wiring a new home or just a remodel he was always there with a smile and a story.

Although he has gone home to be with our God. His legacy and memory will remain alive by the ones he loved, raised and influenced over his 84 years.

Daddy we love and will miss you every day thank you for the life you lived and for the example, you gave on how to be a loving husband, compassionate father and most of all a man of God.

The good news is we all know we will see you again save us a place around the table, and don’t worry we will take good care of mom until she is by your side again.

He is preceded in death by his father Stewart Lloyd and mother Pearl and Brother Gorden Lloyd.

He is survived by the love of his life Sadie and four children Michael Lloyd (Deborah), Cindy Owen (Tony), Sandra Burgess (Brad), Ray Lloyd(Amy) ; 11 grandkids Christopher and Cory Lloyd, Johnna Edge, (Lee) , Tiffany Carr (Matt), Corey Owen (Kortnee) , Trent Burgess (Erin), Katie Burgess, Nicole Hicks (Matt), Morgan Horsley (Kyle), Tanner Lloyd (Peyton), Ashley Rivera (Michael) and 12 great- grandkids.

Pallbearers are Trent Burgess, Matthew Hicks, Christopher Lloyd, Tanner Lloyd, Corey Owen, Matt Carr, Lee Edge and Michael Rivera.
