Donna was born in Calhoun county where she lived in Eastaboga up until the time she met Jim, the man of her dreams. Jim and Donna were married in less than two weeks of meeting each other. Shortly after their marriage, Jim joined the Navy; Donna became a Navy wife. Donna followed Jim no matter where he was stationed. While serving as a Navy wife, Donna earned an associates degree in Registered Nursing. Donna served as a Labor and Delivery Nurse helping to bring newborn babies into this world.
After Fifteen years in the U. S. Navy, Donna and Jim returned to Donna's roots in Eastaboga where they continued to raise their children Sara and Jeff. Donna and Jim's legacy of children and grandchildren have remained close by and close to heart. Jim and Donna's two wonderful children are blessed with perfect soulmates and they are all wonderful parents. Donna spent countless hours with her grandbabies; through sad times, scary times and uncertain times. Donna loved them all so dearly and that love was returned in countless ways and in immeasurable abundance. Donna's grandbabies will have the love of their Nanny with them always.
Donna and Jim loved adventure and travel. Donna would jump on the back of Jim's motorcycle for a day of riding, go camping on a whim, or take on any big adventure they would dream up together. Just five weeks ago, Donna and Jim went on a trip of a life time; traveling over seven thousand miles cross-country to see the wonderful works of God.
Donna was more than a Wife, more than a Mother, more than a Grandmother, a Daughter, a Sister, or an Aunt...she was a best friend to everyone that she came across. Donna's pure joy in experiencing life, her love for family and friends was so apparent the moment you met her.
Donna was a very strong Christian and lived her life serving the Lord. Donna and Jim served in many church's around the area. Donna loved serving as a youth pastor's wife.
Donna has given us a magnificent legacy...we praise God for Donna's life.
