Elaine M English

Funeral services for Elaine M. English, 90, of Oxford will be 10 am Friday, June 10, 2022 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Buddy Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. Mrs. English passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Stanley O. English, three daughters; Gleeda Alvis (Tim), Doña Formby (Monty) and Rebecca Young (Jay), 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Mrs. English is preceded in death by her parents, Lonzo and Rosa McCormick and brother, Donald McCormick.

Pallbearers will be Brent McCaghren, Greg Parris, Jonathan Alvis, Josh Shane Alvis, Joshua Formby and Heath Thompson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lakeview Baptist Church Building Fund, 132 Central Ave, Oxford, AL 36203.

Mrs. English was a native of Cleburne County and a resident of Calhoun County for most of her life. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
