Gene Elam

Gene is survived by her son Mark Elam (Lori); her grandchildren Lyndsi Elam and Leslie Elam.

Gene was preceded in death by her husband Carl Elam, and her parents Roy and Gladys Riffe.

Funeral services for Gene will be Friday, October 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Matt Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers are Frog Wilson, Ben Crosby, Nunny Stephens, Bart Jordan, Sam Morgan, Mussy Mitchell with two honorary pallbearers Mike McLeod and Joe Crosby.

Gene was a resident of Calhoun County. She loved to crochet and make dresses for dolls. She was an avid Alabama Football and Atlanta Braves Fan. She will be dearly missed.
