Gerry Elizabeth Horne

Gerry was the embodiment of love, faith, and compassion. She was a rock and a firm foundation to all who knew her; always putting the wellbeing of others first even during her own illness. She was loved by many and she loved her family and friends deeply. She was an excellent mother to two children and a loving wife for more than 48 years. She leaves behind a legacy of pure love and faith in God, that will forever leave an impact on all who knew her. She loved her dogs, Alabama (and Tennessee) football, and all of her cute, cuddly teddy bears.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Geraldine Buchanan of Johnson City, TN. She is survived by her husband, Benny Thomas Horne; two children, Michael Thomas and Brittany Nicole; daughter-in-law, Amanda Elizabeth Noah Horne; two brothers, William and Timothy Matthew Buchanan, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

We will forever hold her memory close in our hearts and will live out our lives by her example: love one another. We will make you proud, Mom. Always.

Memorial services for Mrs. Gerry will be Saturday, March 1st, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at Word Alive Church. The family would like to welcome friends at 10:30 a.m.
