

Anniston – Funeral services for Mrs. Glenda Dalton Martin, 73, of Anniston will be Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at 1st Baptist Church of Saks with Dr. Randy Postell and Rev. John Copeland officiating with burial to follow at Forestlawn Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, July 29, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
On Wednesday, July 27, 2016, Glenda went home to be with her savior Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, Lynn Martin; daughters, Sheilah (Michael) Brady, and Dawne (Danny) Vaughn; grandchildren, Jessica (Chase) Connell, Aaron Vaughn, Cory Wooten, Trey Brady, Peyton Vaughn, Cassidy Wooten, and Grayson Vaughn.
Pallbearers will be Michael Brady, Danny Vaughn, Aaron Vaughn, Cory Wooten, Peyton Vaughn, Grayson Vaughn, Chase Connell, and Trey Brady.
Mrs. Martin was a native of Georgia and a resident of Anniston. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Saks. She was a graduate of Anniston High School. She earned her Bachelor and Master Degree from Jacksonville State University. She was employed at Saks High School and Walter Wellborn High School during her teaching career. She taught adjunct classes for JSU, Gadsden State, and Ayers State. She also worked as education director for Gadsden Business College. After retiring from teaching, she worked full time with her husband, operating Green’s Art Supplies. In recent years, she authored a book entitled, “To Fear or to Fear Not”, which is a cherished legacy to her family. She dearly loved her family, friends, church family, and more than anything her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
