Glenda Nelson McWhorter

Glenda is survived by her son Stan Nelson (Debbie); her step son Gary McWhorter (Sherri); and her step daughter Jana Moon (Mike); her sister Margie Camp and her sister in laws Ingrid Wilkins, Sue Wilkins; her grandchildren Jessica Crawford (Brad), Graham Nelson (Keri), her great grandchildren Annabelle Crawford, Lawson Crawford, Sailor Bermudez and Grayson Nelson; and many nieces and nephews.

Glenda was preceded in death by her husbands Enoch Nelson and Horace McWhorter; her parents James and Sula Wilkins; her sister Lonette Barnwell and her sister in law Mary Wilkins; her brothers Sonny Wilkins, Jackie Wilkins and Carl Wilkins.

Funeral services for Glenda will be Monday, August 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers are Stan Nelson, Graham Nelson, Brad Crawford, Sailor Bermudez, Lawson Crawford and Grayson Nelson.

Glenda lived most of her adult life in Eulaton and Welborn Community. She was a member of West Park Heights Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for a number of years and also sang in the choir. Glenda had a servant's heart and loved her church and community. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Glenda's memory may be made to Big Oak Boys Ranch; and West Park Heights Baptist Church.
