She was a long time resident of Jacksonville Alabama and will be remembered by many for her beauty shop on the square, "Henri's Southern Accent". Born March 23, 1943 in Eastaboga Alabama, she was considered one of the "Bynum Bunch", and later attended Oxford High School. Living life to the fullest she loved flying planes and even jumped out of a couple. She had a deep love for People, music and thought all hardships in life could be fixed with a piano.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Williamon and Henry Armstrong; her grandparents, Annis and Herman Hydrick.
She is survived by her spouse Berry Ayers, her children; Sonny Gunnells (Denise), Tammy Parks (Danny), Jeff Gunnells (Monika), Bridgett Ayers; step children; Sherry Harris, Selena Vickery (Bobby), Shelley Newell (Gary) and several grandchildren; her brother, Ronnie Joe Armstrong (Randy Janelle) and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Anthony George, Taylor and Cole Ayers, Fran Blanchard, Frankie O’dell, and John Henry.
She was a member of the choir, “Grace Notes” and the “Joy Group” at JFUMC where she will forever be remembered for her courage, strength, faith, and love. She was a true inspiration to us all.
