Imogene Couch

She graduated from Munford High School and Jacksonville State Teachers College. She received a Master of Science Degree Education and a Master of Arts Degree in English from Jacksonville State University.

She is survived by her son, Richard W. Couch (Beth), grandchildren Nathan Turner (Jennifer) and Stephen Fuller, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Couch touched many lives teaching high school English at Oxford High School for more than thirty years. She took great pride in teaching her subject and imparting her knowledge to “her kids.”

A special thanks for their help to her and the family and compassion in Jean’s later years is extended to Pat Butterworth, Lisa Hunt and all of the staff of Enhabit Hospice, especially Jennifer, Leigh Ann, Tracy, Shatoya, and Jennifer.
