June 22, 1925 – June 28, 2011

ANNISTON – Funeral service for Mrs. Inez B. Howell, age 86, of Anniston, will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2011, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with David M. Screws and Chaplin Winfred Logan officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 12:00 p.m. - until service time Friday, July 1, 2011 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Howell passed away, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Howell is survived by her daughters, Janice (David) Screws, Sue (Terry) Thrash; son, Benny D. Howell; 5 grandchildren, Matt Howell, Jonathan Screws (Stephanie), Keith Screws (Kim), Candi Key, Amy McQueen (Robert); 16 great - grandchildren; 2 great – great - grandchildren and nephew Sheriff Larry Amerson. She was preceded in death by her husband Guy W. Howell; grandsons, Kevin Screws and Chris Howell.

Pallbearers will be David Woodall, Derek Key, Robert McQueen, Sheriff Larry Amerson, Matt Howell, Buddy Hurst, Jonathan Screws

Mrs. Howell was a native of Alabama and resident of Anniston. She was a member of Wellborn Christian Church and a graduate of Calhoun County High School. Mrs. Howell also was employed at the Anniston Star for 36 years in the advertising department. She was precious to all who knew her and had an unconditional love for her church and family.
