Jack Reid

Visitation and funeral services for Mr. Jack Reid, 88, of Anniston will be Sunday, November 27, 2022, with the family welcoming friends at 12:30 pm in the chapel of Gray Brown-Service with service to follow. Bro. Lewis Roszell will be officiating. Burial will follow at Coldwater Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Reid is survived by his son Michael Reid and daughter-in-law, Cathy; his sister-in-laws, Murel Wilkerson, Rose Ellison and Mary Ann Ward; his grandchildren Alexander Reid, Bradley Latham and granddaughter-in-law Judith; his great grandchildren Kyran Latham, Jeremiah Latham, Anwynn Heimbockel - Latham and Baby boy Latham on the way, including numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Reid is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Betty Ruth Ellison Reid; his sisters, Leira Turner, Louise Roszell; brother, Frank Reid, and best friend Bennett Hinds.

Mr. Reid was a beloved member of Fairview Heights Northside Baptist Church. He retired from Lee Brass and Goodyear. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. Mr. Reid was a Master Millwright/Mr. Fix-it who was most importantly a loving father, grandfather and uncle. Pop will be greatly missed.
