
Funeral service for James Ray Alldredge, 82, of Lincoln will be 3:00 pm, Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church with Rev. John Alldredge, Rev. Ricky Alldredge and Rev. Rob Turley officiating. Burial will follow at Plum Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3:00pm at the church. Mr. Alldredge passed away Saturday at Trinity Medical Center.
Survivors include: his daughters, Dean Bell (Elmer), Sarah Turner (Rodney), Shirlene Gee (Michael), and Sandra Thomas (Doug); son, David Alldredge; brother, Johnny Alldredge (Rachel); 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Mr. Alldredge is preceded in death by his wife of 24 years the mother of his children, Sarah Frances Alldredge and his wife of 21 years, Lena Mae Alldredge; brothers, J.T. and J.W. Alldredge.
Pallbearers will be Shane Bell, Tim Bell, Seth Alldredge, Sean Alldredge, Trey Gauntt, Kevin Alldredge, Winifred Jones and Keith Waldrop. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Alldredge was a born again believer and a faithful member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and was a deacon for 39 years. He loved to sing and will be remembered for singing his favorites "I'd Rather Be An Old Time Christian" and "Peace In The Valley." He was a hard worker who always provided for his family. He was a loving husband and a devoted daddy who adored his girls and his Dave boy. He loved the LORD and his family and will be greatly missed, but we rejoice that he is now in the loving arms of his LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.
