James C. "Jim" Bryant Jr.

Jim is survived by his wife, Scarlet Bryant; daughters, Sharon Bryant and Samantha Tolleson (Paul); sons, Justin Bryant (Katrina); Joel Bryant (Sherrie); and Jesse Bryant; sister Susan Perry (Marty); 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and beloved family friends Alice Evans and Sherry Arrington Roberts.

Jim was born in Somerville, MA, to James "Bud" and Rita Bryant. He is preceded in death by both parents and his brother Mark Andrew Bryant.

Graveside services for Jim will be Monday, December 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Hebron Cemetery in Ohatchee. Rev. Rick Foote will be officiating with family and friends as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.

Jim was a long-time resident of Ohatchee, AL. He graduated from Ohatchee High School before pursuing a career in the Navy serving 6 years and then reenlisting in the Coast Guard for 16 more years. Jim retired from Ft. McClellan as a security guard and also taught Taekwondo karate. He loved watching western movies and enjoyed restoring guns. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
