Hefin - Funeral service for Jasper "Junior" Warren Jr., 63, of Heflin, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Gray Brown-Service with the Rev. Bill Golden and William Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Upper Cane Creek Cemetery in Fruithurst. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until service time at Gray Brown. Mr. Warren died Thursday at Stringfellow.
Survivors include wife, Betty L. Warren; sisters, Norma Frier (Jerry), of Wellborn, Linda Taylor (Charles), of Delta, Glenda Roberts, of Munford, Patricia Brown Lewis (Ron), of Florence Miss.; brother, Billy R. Warren (Piperlynn) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Warren is preceded in death by a sister, Margie Nell Warren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Frier, Jeff Bain, Joey Higgens, William Payne, Joey Robinson, and Billy Cofield.
Mr. Warren was a longtime resident of Oklahoma, and lived the last 20 years in Anniston. He served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sgt. during the Vietnam War.
