Graveside services for Mr. JD Champion, 91, of Anniston will be Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Iron City Cemetery with Rev. Brent Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Gray Brown Service Mortuary. Mr. Champion passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 in Anniston.
Mr. Champion is survived by his wife Sylvia Champion of Anniston, his daughter, Carol Christian (Jerry) of Lincoln, son, Kenneth Champion (Rose) of Wedowee, daughter-in-law Cindy Champion of Anniston. Five grandchildren and Thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Champion was preceded in death by his wife Era H. Champion, a son Paul Champion, his parents Thomas Jake and Sarah Champion, four brothers and one sister.
Mr. Champion was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and proudly served in The United States Navy.
Pallbearers will be his grandson and great grandsons.
