

Memorial service for Joe Lindsey, 64 of Anniston, will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Gray Brown-Service with Rev. James Lindsey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Survivors include his sisters, Jean Mock (Don), Sylvia Ingram, Sandra Hopkins (Gene), Debra Benson (Sam), and Anita Whitten; brothers, James “Butch” Lindsey (Vickie), and Robert “Bobby” Lindsey (Kay) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lindsey is preceded in death by his parents, Verlon and Lillian Lindsey; siblings, Barbara Leverett, Pat Green, Marcine Mitchell, and David Lindsey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Ray, J. D. Hess, Bill Reid, “Tubby” Bass, Steve Savage, David Kilgore, Mike Monroe, Larry Deason, Pat O’Brien, Richard Stubbs, Steve Montgomery, Gwen Westbrook, and Danny and Carolyn Matthews.
Joe Lindsey was a wonderful, gentle, kind-hearted man. Joe was also a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a great passion for his alma mater, Anniston High School. Joe loved to watch Anniston Bulldog football and basketball. He also frequently attended basketball and football games at Jacksonville State University, where he played basketball after high school. “Roll Tide” was also shouted by Joe on many occasions. He was a member of Saks Church of God of Prophecy. Joe was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memory of Joe to the JSU Men’s Basketball Program.
