Anniston – Funeral services for Mr. John David Shockley, 64, of Anniston will be Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Reeves officiation with burial to follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Shockley passed on Monday, February 27, 2017 at RMC in Anniston.
Mr. Shockley is survived by his wife, Donna Marie Shockley; daughters, Donna Michelle Watkins, and Melissa Renee Barnes; sons, Jason Cary, and Bruce Barnes; sister, Rachel Ford; brothers, Michael Shockley, and Mark Shockley; grandchildren, Gabrielle Barnes, Dalton Barnes, David Watkins, and Austin Avila-Lopez; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Shockley was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Shockley; father, John N. Shockley.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Barnes, James Howard, Dennis Free, Ryan Howard, Gary Barger, and Jason Cary.
Mr. Shockley was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County, where he graduated from Oxford High School. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, and was employed with Oxford Termite and Pest Control for 32 years.
