Smith Station- Graveside service for Mr. Joseph Crum Hurd Sr, 86, will be Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 3 PM at First Baptist Church of Williams Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Mr. Hurd passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at his home in Smith Station. Mr. Hurd is survived by his sons, Glenn (Jan) Hurd, Jack Hurd, Brian Hurd, and Joesph (Amanda) Hurd Jr. and Several grandchildren. Mr. Hurd is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Hurd. Mr. Hurd served in the U.S. Air force and was a member of River of Life Church in Phenix City, Al.
