Josh passed away at home with his loving family by his side. He fought a valiant fight against cancer for the last 6 years. He never complained and was always fun loving and happy go lucky. His positive attitude and outlook of life made it hard to tell that he was even sick most days. He wasn’t much of a sports fan or westerns fan but got to watch plenty of it (against his will) with his dad when spending time at home. He loved vintage cars and motorcycles. He always loved a good project, something he could pull apart, customize/paint and put back together to make his own. A hobby of his was collecting everything dixxon flannel and owning every color of chuck taylors. He loved getting as he called it “spiffy” and owned more clothes and shoes than both of his daughters combined. Another one of his favorite things to do was go to/watch movies. He loved marvel movies and knew every detail about what was going to happen and when the next one was coming out and what to expect. He had a gentle soul and loved animals arguably more than people most days. Especially his grandkitties, Thor man and Finn Finn.
Joshua was born in Pensacola Florida on January 17, 1977 to David and Neresa Dunaway. He was a 1995 graduate of Satellite Beach High School, FL. He had worked at Honeywell aerospace for the last 26 years as a mechanic.
He loved nothing more than spending time with the daughters he adored, family/friends and picking on his son-in law.
He is survived by his sweetheart Miranda Poole, daughters Kayla (Dustan) Hammonds and Madison Boling. Parents David and Neresa Dunaway.
He is preceded in death by his brother Jeremiah Dunaway, his grandparents, Dave and Martha Dunaway and Ernest and Hazel Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be friends and family: John Canada, Ricky Joe Fowler, Scott Hanbury, Jake Hanbury, Mark Northcutt and Tommy Rodiles.
