Memorial services for Kathy M. Hughes, 60, of Anniston, will be 2 pm Friday at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Wayne Fain officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Hughes passed away on Tuesday at her residence.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Danny Hughes, Son, Steve Shannon Smith, two daughters, Shelly Smith and Melina Thomas, mother, Louise McCurry, four grandchildren, Jordan Thomas, Meagan Spence, Cassidy Smith and Joshua Ervin, three great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mistie Wagoner, Christie Thomas and Charlotte Burdette and her aunt, Sarah McClellan, numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hughes is preceded in death by her father, Charles T. McCurry, brother, Derrell McCurry, sister, Tammy Jorah and mother-in-law, Frances Swinford.
Mrs. Hughes was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Hughes was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all.
