Funeral Service for Lagisolia ‘Lonnie’ Ponafala Jones of Weaver will be 2 pm, Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
Lagisolia ‘Lonnie’ Ponafala Jones was born on November 7, 1940 and died on October 10, 2021 at RMC in Anniston.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kelley (Joshua); sons, Tony Jones (April), Talani Jones (Eva), Fiso Jones (Sheryl) and Sean Jones (Joanna); sister, Lemao Suemai; brother, Ponafala Ponafala Jr. (Anna); 28 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Tommy G. Jones; parents, Ponafala and Tulai Ponafala; sisters, Sigaoi Ponafala, Falepulega Ponafala, Sina Ponafala, Fasifa’ala Ponafala, and Ta’aloga Ponafala; and brother, Faoa Ponafala.
