Memorial services for Leonard “Pappy” Jones 76 of Oxford will be Tuesday June 5, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with President Brian Dewsnup officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Jones passed away Saturday in Anniston.
Survivors include his wife Nita Freeman Jones of Oxford, a son Daniel Jones (Christy) of Oxford, grandchildren Joshua and Hannah Jones, sisters Peggy Fenderson of Shafter, Cal., Dorothy Jones Coleman (Junior) of Anniston and a brothers Jerry Mulican of Anniston, Jim Bacon (Kathy) of Garden City , Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jones is preceded in death by mother and father John and Lillie Mulican, sisters Margaret Mullinax and Wilma Key.
Mr. Jones was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was in the United States Air Force and he retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was also a member of The Latter day Saints.
