

Funeral service for Louise Gay Adams, 85, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Pastor David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Adams died Wednesday morning at Diversicare in Oxford.
She was a lifelong resident of Anniston. She was a faithful member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church for over 30 years. She lived life to the fullest with many friends in Anniston that dearly loved her. Her first job was at Blue Mountain Cotton Mill, later she managed the Heart of Anniston Inn, on Noble Street for 23 years, and afterwards she managed Colonial Park Apartments for Ed Hubbard for 26 years. She retired at age 81 in 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Adams (Bud); her three brothers, and her parents, Howard and Macy Gay.
Survived by son, Ronnie Brown and wife Cindy; her daughter, Debra Adams Patrick; her daughter, Angie Blakemore, and husband Brad. She has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She set an example to the people around her in her Christian walk and a positive outlook on life she will be missed by all of us.
