

She is dancing with her Lord Jesus in her eternal home. Mom was a strong independent and sometimes (stubborn) woman. Her lifelong faith in God and church was unshakable. Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not….please be in prayer for our family as we mourn and celebrate the life of Granny.
Funeral service for Mrs. Harris, 89, of Anniston will be 1 p.m. Friday September 25, 2015, at Weaver Church of God with the Rev. Harold Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary.
Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Borders and Tommy Borders; daughters, Jane Driskell, Linda Blume (James) and Shirley Pettus (Edwin); grandchildren, Lisa Carey (Rev. David Carey), Susan Alinder (Spence), Sherre Maxey (Chris), Shane Dew (Tiffanie), Eric Dew, Jimmy Blume, Patrick Borders, Clyde Driskell, Anna Borders (Chris) and John Borders; great-grandchildren, Kate Maxey, David Maxey, Nathan Carey, Christopher Gruber Dew, Jason Dew, Derrick Dew, Emily Dew, Zachary Alinder, Elijah Alinder, Jesse Borders and Chansen Borders; great-great-granddaughter, Jillian Snowmarie Gruber.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, James Borders and Virgil Harris; parents, George and Emma Champion and her siblings.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
The family would like to thank Cassie, Tamara and Rodney of Alacare Hospice for the care given their Mom and to honor her memory feel free to wear pink.
