Marie is survived by her daughter; Linda Cortez, son-in-law; Randy Cortez, her son; Gary Dale Howard, sisters; Lynn Roberts and Diane Cleveland, grandchildren; Rachel Varnes, Savannah Varnes, Haley Varnes, and Katelin Howard, along with great-grandchildren; Mason White and Kaiser Nelson.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband; Gary David Howard, mother; Frances Laney, step-father; Harvey Laney, brothers; Bobby Smith and Wayne Smith, and sister; Patricia Crosby.
Marie was an avid Alabama Football fan. You would usually find her reading her bible. She was a kind, helpful and giving person who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
The family will be hosting a private memorial on Thursday, July 3rd to honor Mrs. Howard.
