

Funeral service for Martha Feazell Brooks, 87, of Anniston, will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Gray Brown-Service with Rev. Truman Norred officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Brooks passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 20, 2011.
Survivors include: son, Ronald J. Brooks of Anniston; daughters, Diane Mangham and husband Marty of Oxford and Deborah Sanderson and husband Howard of Saks; grandchildren, Shane Sanderson of Southside, Shannon and wife Tricia Sanderson of Oxford, Paige and husband Jonathon Bowling of Oxford; great-children, Savanna and Caleb Sanderson, Austin Sanderson, Bailey McCormick, Abby Bussey, Maggie, Josh and Ryan Bowling; Step-brother, Kyle and wife Robbie Medders of Jacksonville; step-sister, Rita and husband Wayne Smith of Ozark; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband William A. “Billy” Brooks, parents, Clemmie and Fairy Allie Feazell, sisters, Nellie F. Crabtree and Edna L. Jeely.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Brooks was a native of Calhoun County, retired from Classe Ribbon and a member of Blue Mtn. Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. One of her greatest joys was being called “MawMaw”
We wish to thank Dr. Lloyd James, Kay and Sandy for always being there for her. A special thank you for our wonderful sitters, Jeri Shaw and Jane Scoggins. Also thanks to Midsouth Homehealth/Gentiva for the care she received. Thanks also to Oasis Hospice, Renee Sheffield, RN, Levi Lewis, RN and Marva Gibbs, LPN for the care given the last days.
