

Anniston - Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Pruitt Jr. “Junior”, 73 of Anniston will be Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Acker and Rev. Alan Murphy officiating with burial following at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Pruitt passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Pruitt is survived by his wife, Bobbie Pruitt of Ohatchee; daughters, Brandy (Grady) Spurling, and Tammy Pruitt (Roger) Cash; sons, Carl (Lily) Pruitt, Terry (Dana) Pruitt, Chris (Mickey) Pruitt, and Brad Dunn; sisters, Dorothy Thomas, Jewell Warren, and Kay Batchelor; brother, James Pruitt; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pruitt was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Levie Pruitt; sisters, Francis McGlaughn, and Louis Acker.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Hodge, David Body, Charles Smith, Tim Hooper, Richard Gains, and Lee Nolan.
Mr. Pruitt was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and lived the majority of his life in Ohatchee Area. He was a member of Mamre Baptist Church; and loved spending time fishing and playing with his great-grandson, Kylen. Mr. Pruitt will be greatly missed by everyone.
