Graveside service for Mary Florence Ward, 88, of Anniston will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Anniston Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Butch Suddath officiating. Mrs. Ward passed away June 16, 2015, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Ward and Tina Ward Burney; sons, Paul Ward (Peggy) and Larry Ward (Judy); brother, Douglas Matthews (Sonja); grandchildren, Kevin Ward (Janna), Don Ward (Crystal), Tony Ward (Debbie), Robby Ward (Kandy), Deanna Turner (Rickey), Nicole Rice (Josh) and Tyler Ward (Stefanie); several great-grandchildren, many great-great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ward is preceded in death by her husband, John Frank Ward; her parents, William and Lalladge Matthews and brothers Billy and John Matthews. Pallbearers will be Don Ward, Kevin Ward, Robby Ward, Rickey Turner, Josh Rice, and Tyler Ward. Tony Ward will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer. Mrs. Ward was a native of Forney, Alabama and a member of Union Grove First Congregational Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting for her family members whom she loved dearly.
