Mikiko Hamby

She was born December 2, 1933.

Funeral Service will be Friday. September 6, 2024 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Service will be at 1 pm. Visitation is one hour prior to service. Mr. Jim Jones will be officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Audrey Hamby and Linda Skinner (John Sr.); son, Richard Hamby (Rhonda); sister, Nori Fujii; brother, Junzo Fujii; grandchildren, Matthew Hamby, Michael Hamby, Danielle Ackley, Caitlin Dunn, John Skinner Jr.; great-grandchildren. Ava Ackley, Maeve Ackley, Jack Hamby, Emma Hamby, Ellie Hamby.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Hamby, son Douglas Hamby; brother, Mikio Fujii; parents, Manshi Chi and Emiko Minimatsu Fuku.

Pallbearers will be Brian Ackley, John Skinner Sr., John Skinner Jr., Richard Hamby, Matthew Hamby, Michael Hamby. Honorary pallbearer, Jack Matthew Hamby.

Miki enjoyed crocheting, gardening, puzzle books, bingo and watching soap operas. She loved all things red and her Dog Bruce, (preceded in death). Mostly she loved cooking for and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed and was deeply loved.
