Mildred F Gunnels

Funeral service for Mrs. Mildred Fornwalt Gunnels, 88, will be at 2 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Barksdale officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Mrs.

Gunnels passed away Friday afternoon at UAB hospital. She is survived by her children, Earl Gunnels (Carolyn), Jerry Gunnels (Freda) and Marty Gunnels

Wade (Ricky); grandchildren, Sandy Wade Thompson (Jon), Adam Wade (Amanda), Sharr Russ (Rich), Chad Gunnels (Andrea), Sheena Plocharczyk (Lenny),

Stacy Campbell, and Tracy Ramey; brother, Charles Fornwalt; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gunnels is preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Gunnels; parents, Ada and Griffith Fornwalt, and brothers, Huey Fornwalt, Herschel Fornwalt,

and Griffith A. Fornwalt. Mildred (Sister) was a long time resident of Anniston. She enjoyed listening and watching the Wellborn Panthers football

games and she also loved cooking and being with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
