

On November 7, 2011, Ralph (Cork) Lloyd released the ties that bound him to earth and returned to his Father in Heaven. Services will be 10:00 am, today, November 9, 2011, with Rev. Jackie Bentley and Rev. Ryan Brice officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to services at Gray Brown. Burial will be Oak Bowery Cemetery in Ohatchee.
Cork was born in Anniston Alabama on January 7, 1942. He spent his childhood in Anniston and attended Parkwood Elementary, Mechanicsville Elementary, and Wellborn High School. Upon graduation he served in the U.S. Army form 1964-66. He worked was a newspaper carrier for the Anniston Star from the age of 12 to 18. He worked for Winn Dixie, Milbrook Bakery, M & H Valve, and Monsanto Chemical Company (for 20 years).
Cork enjoyed country music, NASCAR, hunting, fishing, and old cars. In 2007, Cork had a heart attack and God added four valuable years to his life. He was a dedicated husband, a caring father, brother and friend. His family feels blessed to have been a part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Robertson Lloyd, his father Troy (Rass) Lloyd, and his brother Kenneth Lloyd.
To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his wife Teresa Angles Lloyd (Anniston), his son Corky Lloyd (Anniston), his daughter Cristy Lloyd Brice (Gastonia, NC), son-in-law Ryan Brice (Gastonia, NC), grandson Brody Thurston Brice (Gastonia, NC), sister Missy Lloyd Courtney (El Paso, Texas), Sue Lloyd Sam (Mississippi), brother Ronald (Tubby) Lloyd (Anniston), brother Dennis (Ham) Lloyd (Anniston), and many other family members and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Travis Angles, Ed Cobb, Dennis (Fish) Morgan, Walter Lee Angles, Gerald Waldrop, and Gary Kite (Utah).
Pallbearers will be Stanley Fondren, Harvey Hughes, David Siskey, Curtis Angles, Chris Bishop, and Ferrell (Mousey) Waldrop.
Cork loved life and said many times that he had no regrets. He lived with a philosophy not to worry about anything. The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the food, visits, words of encouragement, and most of all your prayers. Online condolences made at
