Rita Catherine Haynes Mundy

Oxford – Funeral services for Mrs. Rita Catherine Mundy, 85, of Oxford will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mundy passed on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at her home in Oxford.

Mrs. Mundy is survived by her daughter, Sherry Wilson; son, Dennis (Linda) Mundy; grandchildren, Meko Venegas, Shaa Bolt, Jake (Kayla) Peeples, Kim (Daryl) Waggoner, Kelly (Daniel) Clayton, and Jack (Beverly) Mundy; great-grandchildren, Makenzi, Isabela, Blakeli, Walker, Jaylyn, MaRandi, Dillon, Tyler, Delaney, Brendan, and Jessica.

Pallbearers will be Billy Higginbotham, Pete Peeples, Dillon Waggoner, Tyler Clayton, Jason Bolt, Frank Wilson, Daniel Clayton, Daryl Waggoner, Walker Bolt, Bobby Chandler, and Tony Magouyrk. Honorary pallbearers will be Cheaha Vintage Auto Club, and Friday Night Singing Group.

Mrs. Mundy was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Mundy.

Mrs. Mundy was retired from the Blue Mountain Cotton Mill after 37 years. She was a long time member of Glen Addie Baptist Church.
